Data Engineer

Job Objective:

• Be part of the data & and analytics center of excellence (CoE) working on a wide range of data infrastructure and data engineering projects across

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Architecture:

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, and implement new data systems where needed.
• Drive the delivery of data products and services into systems and business processes in compliance with internal regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of Information Security principles and technologies and Serving as the team's authority on data infrastructure, privacy controls and data relevant security

2. Data Integration:

• Monitoring and quality assurance within the system (Server/ Services/ETL /Networking/Security).
• Collaborate with engineers on building & and maintaining back-end services
• Ensure data assets are organized and stored in an efficient way
• Ability to build reports and data visualizations, using data from data warehouse or other sources and mapping are helpful (but not required).

3. Project Management:

• Work with team leads to resolve people problems and projects to ensure maximum productivity.
• Understand business, and technical requirements and design effective solutions.
• Experience working in Agile teams is a plus

 Key skills and requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology, MIS, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Securities).
• At least 1 year experience (typically 2+ years) in Data Engineering and ETL and Analytics tools (R, Python) and Visualization systems
• Experience with building data pipelines from various business applications and databases.
• Experience with the Networking/Security is a plus (but not required).
• Experience SQL with relational databases as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases is a big plus. o Ability to communicate in English
