Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation:

· Design, configure, and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN).

· Plan and implement network upgrades, migrations, and new network deployments.

· Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Network Monitoring & Maintenance:

· Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and availability.

· Perform regular network maintenance, including patching, backups, and firmware upgrades.

· Implement and manage network monitoring tools and alerts.

Network Security:

· Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures (e.g., firewall rules, access control lists, VPNs).

· Monitor network security events, identify potential threats, and respond to security incidents.

· Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Troubleshooting & Support:

· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues to end-users and other IT teams.

· Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.

· Document troubleshooting steps and solutions.

System Administration (as applicable/needed):

· Manage and administer network services such as DNS, DHCP, and NTP.

· Assist with server administration tasks related to network connectivity.

Vendor Management:

· Work with third-party vendors for network equipment, services, and support.

· Evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve network infrastructure.

Continuous Improvement:

· Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices.

· Proactively identify opportunities for network optimization and efficiency improvements.

· Contribute to the development and improvement of IT policies and procedures.

1.     Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline

2.     Experiences:

-          Problem solving skill.

-          Understanding the AD user, group and computer account.

-          Interpersonal communication.

-          Basic knowledge of networking, security and other infrastructure service.

-          Ability to self-train on new technologies.

-          Expert with windows client (7,10).

-          Understanding of manufacturing process and application is advantage.

-          Basic knowledge of ITIL V3 process and ticketing tool

-         Good English is an advantage
