Frontend Developer Intern

POSITION TITLE: FRONTEND DEVELOPER INTERN

FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVES (FBOs):

Checkmate is looking for a potential Frontend Developer Intern to work with web developers and back-end coders and is technically responsible for the overall quality, security and development of the online user experience. To this extent, proofreading skills and an all-around attention to detail is vital, in order to provide all target users a high-quality and efficient experience. You will contribute to the development of robust APIs, optimize database performance, and ensure seamless integration between server and client-side operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and legacy systems.

- Perform web and legacy system development, update and support.

- Good understanding of Web analytics and SEO techniques and how to implement them. (Nice to have)

- Optimize web applications to ensure they are rendered consistently and efficiently in a cross-browser environment.

- Support the development team to boost website security and propose initiatives to deliver full website performance and optimization.

- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting improvement to user interface or new technologies.

- Analyze customer requirements and define front-end solutions while providing assistance to the team for any problem and technical roadblocks.

- Research for new technologies and development strategies. - Provide production support.

- Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

- Create and maintain technical documentation associated with the developed solutions.

- Share knowledge and provide assistance to colleagues regarding development and platform functionality.

- Suggest improvements related to security, performance, and the enhancement of existing environments.

- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time to support the team's goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

CV should be in English and must include the date of birth

- Strong interest in frontend development and a willingness to learn and grow.

- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Typescript.

- Experience with React Framework..

- Experience with UI Framework like Material-UI.

- Comprehensive understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, deployment).

- Ability to independently research new technologies and documentation. - Dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic work attitude.

- Well-versed in working within the agile environment.

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
