Scope of the role:
The IT Business Partner acts as the primary link between local business stakeholders and central technology teams, ensuring business needs are clearly understood, translated into requirements, and met through standard enterprise platforms. The role focuses on stakeholder engagement, requirements management, change enablement, and driving adoption of agreed systems, while ensuring alignment with group standards, governance, and strategic direction. The IT Business Partner operates through recommendation and escalation, not through technical ownership or approval authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnership and Demand Management:
+ Primary technology contact for local business stakeholders
+ Gather and structure business requirements
+ Translate needs into inputs for central IT teams
+ Support prioritisation aligned to business and group roadmaps
- Technology Adoption and Enablement:
+ Own local adoption of enterprise platforms
+ Coordinate deployments, testing, and go-live readiness
+ Act as local product champion
- Change Management and Communication:
+ Support change impact assessments
+ Coordinate training and communications
+ Gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Operational Oversight and Escalation:
+ Monitor effectiveness of business processes on systems
+ Act as business-facing escalation point
+ Support audits and compliance activities
- Data Management Oversight:
+ Ensure the quality of key master data within supported business domains
+ Identify and escalate data quality and compliance issues
+ Connect business data owners with group data governance
