IT Security Control Executive

The opportunity
This position reports directly to the Local Country BUSO. This is a key role within the Country IT Control & Governance function.

The function sits within Manulife’s line 1b of defense – where we align with leadership to set the risk culture, support IT in identifying and mitigating risks at scale, and provide a common view and narrative of key risks to enable business discussions. We help business units to ensure uninterrupted BAU on a day-to-day basis by effectively managing their information and operational risks. To achieve this, we need to ensure success in maintaining internal controls with Manulife’s line 2 of defense that owns Manulife control policies and standards.

The goal of this position is to support IT team understand and effectively manage their information security and technology risks, support the deployment of the Country Business Unit Security Officer (BUSO) target operating model (including standardized and effective ways of working and operationalizing).

Responsibilities

· Monitoring and following to identify non-compliant point of local country in P2G program.

· Coordinate with P2G team and SME to provide specific plans and guidelines for remediation.

· Facilitate the identification of root cause of security incidents while promoting awareness of company security policies and standards.

· Monitor, identify and perform specific actions for other programs such as DLP, Phishing Simulation.

· Provide staff with security awareness training.

· Assists with various IT projects or other items as assigned by local BUSO.

• Ability to communicate, clearly and professionally, with IT team and regional team as needed.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in related field required.
• Experience implementing or using of many security solutions is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of security and infrastructure techniques. Have knowledge about application would be added advantage.
• Ability to keep up and always learn with advancements in IT technologies.
• Professional certification or designation in information security would be added advantage.
• Good analytical, teamwork capability and able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal communication, management, and presentation skills.
• Basic English communication skills.
