Junior Business Intelligence Analyst

1.Build and Maintain BI Reporting System:

• Design, develop, and implement BI solutions to support various departments, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
• Ensure the BI reporting system is robust, scalable, and able to meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support business operations.
• Regularly update and optimize BI reports to reflect changes in business processes and requirements.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

3. Business Glossary and User Guide Development:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive business glossary to ensure consistent terminology and definitions across the organization.
• Create detailed user guides to help stakeholders understand and effectively use BI reports and dashboards.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance data literacy and ensure effective utilization of BI tools and reports.

4. Support Strategic Planning and Decision Making:

• Provide support in delivering data-driven insights to aid in strategic initiatives, such as market analysis, customer segmentation, and product performance evaluation.
• Assist in monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
• Assist in monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of stores, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.

5. Data Management and Governance:

• Ensure data quality and consistency across all reports and analysis.
• Help develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of data sources, methodologies, and processes

-           Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

-           0-2 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role, preferably in the retail industry. Exposure to developing and implementing BI solutions and tools is a plus.

-           Intermediate proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker. Intermediate SQL skills and familiarity with database management systems (e.g., BigQuery, SQL Server, MySQL).

-           Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus

-           Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.

-           Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas).

-           Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-           Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

-           Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

-           Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
