Job Description

1. IT Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud services.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of IT systems to meet organizational needs.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and lifecycle, including hardware and software.

2. Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead and mentor the IT operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor the performance of team members.
  • Provide technical guidance and professional development opportunities.

3. Incident and Problem Management

  • Monitor IT systems for performance issues or failures and coordinate rapid incident resolution.
  • Implement root cause analysis for recurring issues and develop long-term fixes.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of incidents and resolutions.

4. System Monitoring and Maintenance

  • Ensure proactive monitoring and regular maintenance of IT systems to prevent downtime.
  • Oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect business continuity.
  • Conduct regular updates and patches to maintain system security and compliance.

5. IT Service Management

  • Implement and manage ITIL or similar service frameworks for efficient IT service delivery.
  • Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand and address IT service requirements.

6. Security and Compliance

  • Enforce cybersecurity measures to protect organizational data and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and external audits.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation.

7. Vendor and Budget Management

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee service quality.
  • Monitor and manage the IT operations budget, optimizing costs without compromising service quality.

8. Strategic Planning and Improvement

  • Identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions.
  • Participate in strategic planning to align IT operations with organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to improve IT infrastructure and processes.

Job Requirement

  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with budgeting and vendor management.
