Middle Quality Control

Mission

• The mission of the Middle QC Engineer is to ensure product quality, stability, and reliability by proactively identifying risks, validating requirements, and verifying system behavior before release.
• This role focuses on accurate testing execution, early defect detection, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams, contributing directly to smooth product delivery and continuous improvement of the QA process.
• The Middle QC Engineer acts as a quality gatekeeper, helping the team deliver features that meet business expectations while maintaining technical integrity and user trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform manual testing to validate functionality, usability, and basic performance across web and API-based systems.
• Execute API testing (manual &automated) to ensure correctness, stability, and backward compatibility.
• Participate in building and maintaining automated test scripts, primarily for APIs (UI automation is a plus).
• Conduct regression testing before releases and support UAT phases when required.
• Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA, ensuring clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, BA, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and ensure quality delivery.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, daily standup, review, retrospective).
• Contribute to improving testing processes, test coverage, and QA documentation.
• Support basic performance/load testing execution under guidance (if applicable).

Requirements

• 2‒4 years of experience as a QC/Software Test Engineer.
• Solid experience in manual testing, including test case design and execution.
• Good understanding of software testing fundamentals: black-box testing, regression testing, integration testing, exploratory testing.
• Hands-onexperience with API testing (Postman, Swagger, RESTful APIs).
• Basic experience or strong interest in automation testing, especially API automation.
• Experience with API automation frameworks(e.g.Playwright API, Cypress API, Postman/Newman).
• Familiarity with at least one programming/scripting language such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Experience testing microservices or distributed systems.
• Experience using Git and working within CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams and communicating issues clearly.
• Careful, detail-oriented, and responsible for test quality and deadlines.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter, Blazemeter, or Locust.
• Familiarity with CI tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Experience working with cloud-based systems (AWS, GCP,Azure‒at basic level).
• Ability to analyze logs, understand error responses, and support root-cause analysis.
• Good English reading and basic written communication skills.
