The Power Platform Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining internal business applications and digital tools that modernize and automate workflows across departments. While the current primary delivery stack is Microsoft Power Platform, this role is broader in scope the Power Platform Developer is expected to work across low-code and code-first approaches, selecting the right tool for each problem. This role manages a prioritized backlog of application requests spanning compliance, supplier lifecycle, production tracking, and more working directly with department teams to translate real operational pain points into reliable, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions. The Power Platform Developer owns the full application lifecycle from requirements gathering through to deployment, handover, and post-launch support.
- Lead the design and evolution of the company’s internal application ecosystem, defining architecture standards, data models, integration approaches, and reusable components to ensure scalability, consistency, and maintainability.
- Plan, design, and deliver applications based on prioritized business needs, managing timelines, scope, and stakeholder approvals. Ensure all solutions are production-ready, well-documented, and supported with user guides and walkthroughs.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications through regular audits of data quality, user experience, performance, and integrations, ensuring alignment with evolving business requirements.
- Design and manage application data models (tables, relationships, forms, views, and business rules), ensuring integrity, scalability, and compliance with governance standards.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability across all applications by implementing validation rules, consistency checks, and error handling, along with thorough pre-launch testing.
- Develop and standardize reusable automation components (approval workflows, notifications, triggers, integrations) to improve efficiency and consistency across applications.
- Drive standardized integrations across systems (ERP, data platforms, SharePoint, APIs, and third-party services), ensuring reliable data flow and robust fallback mechanisms.
- Build and maintain data validation frameworks, including duplication prevention, mandatory controls, and audit-ready data tracking.
- Ensure successful delivery of solutions by preparing technical documentation, conducting structured handovers, and validating performance, governance, and usability before go-live.
