The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for executing purchasing activities, particularly in the Information Technology (IT) category. This role involves supplier coordination, cost optimization, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and technical requirements.
Job Description:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for IT-related goods and services (hardware, software, licensing, IT services, etc.).
- Collaborate with IT and related departments to clarify technical requirements and sourcing plans.
- Source, evaluate, and select IT vendors based on quality, price, and service criteria.
- Support price and contract negotiation to ensure cost-effectiveness and risk mitigation.
- Track purchase orders, delivery status, and ensure on-time, in-full delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers to handle warranty, support, and after-sales service issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and update supplier databases.
- Participate in IT procurement planning and support the implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage technology projects and collaborate closely with stakeholders (technical, legal, finance) to optimize costs, mitigate procurement risks, ensure on-schedule project delivery, and maximize overall effectiveness.
