Role Overview

As an IT Business Analyst, you will be the vital link between our customers and internal teams. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their requirements, run workshops, lead user training, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Internally, you’ll contribute to shaping product features, streamlining business processes, and helping us deliver maximum value through SimpleMDG.

Responsibilities

Customer Engagement:

  • Lead requirement-gathering sessions and discovery workshops with customers.
  • Analyze customer pain points and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Conduct user training and onboarding sessions.
  • Support UAT planning, coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers during implementation phases.

Product & Delivery Support:

  • Write and maintain functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with the Product Development Team to clarify requirements and prioritize enhancements.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure test coverage aligns with business expectations.
  • Identify areas of improvement in product usability and recommend enhancements based on customer feedback.
  • Act as an advanced support agent to assist the Customer Support team in resolving escalated technical issues.

Internal Process Improvement:

  • Help design and optimize internal business processes related to project delivery and support.
  • Contribute to improving delivery templates, documentation standards, and knowledge sharing.
  • Support internal initiatives for better cross-functional collaboration.

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

  • Flexible Availability: The ability to work in the evening or early morning based on the project.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Fluency in English is a must, with fluency in Japanese or German a valuable asset.
  • Professional Experience: 2+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Functional Consultant, preferably in a SaaS or enterprise software environment. (Note: In the absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the required level of expertise).
  • AI Knowledge: Experience or a strong interest in prompt engineering and designing effective interactions with Generative AI models is a major plus.
  • AI Ethics: An awareness of the ethical implications and risks associated with using third-party AI services (e.g., data privacy, output reliability, bias) and how to mitigate them in product design.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to dissect complex customer needs and translate them into actionable roadmaps.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence stakeholders through clear communication, data-driven insights, and persuasive presentations.
  • Agile Expertise: Experience with user story creation is highly desirable to translate customer needs into actionable steps for the development team.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is a plus, but your eagerness to learn and adapt is paramount.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, information technology, or equivalent experience.
