Key responsibilities
- Support lab setup. Prepare Linux/Windows virtual machines and install platform components using approved instructions.
- Assist with monitoring configuration. Set up agents and collectors, apply reviewed templates, create dashboards, and test alerts under supervision.
- Maintain infrastructure records. Collect and validate asset information, update CMDB records, apply naming and tagging standards, and identify missing or duplicate entries.
- Test service workflows. Follow test cases covering monitoring alerts, ticket creation, asset identification, assignment, escalation, and recovery updates. Record results and report defects clearly.
- Assist with automation. Create simple scripts or Ansible tasks for installation, inventory collection, configuration checks, and other repeatable activities, with senior review.
- Support readiness testing. Execute assigned access-control, customer-isolation, onboarding, and backup/restore tests in approved test environments.
- Maintain documentation. Write and update installation guides, diagrams, troubleshooting notes, knowledge articles, and customer-onboarding checklists.
- Support pilot delivery. Assist with approved deployment activities, gather test evidence, and help prepare the handover to the operations team.

Required qualifications
- Student, recent graduate, or early-career candidate in IT, computer science, networking, or a related area. Equivalent practical learning is welcome.
- Basic understanding of Linux or Windows administration and willingness to develop skills in both.
- Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, DNS, routing, firewalls, and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Familiarity with virtual machines through coursework, projects, or a personal lab.
- Ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot methodically, and maintain accurate records.
- Willingness to ask questions, communicate blockers, and incorporate feedback.
- Ability to read English technical documentation.
Helpful experience
- Basic Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Git, Ansible, Docker, or a cloud platform.
- Exposure to monitoring or ticketing tools such as Zabbix, iTop, NetBox, or ManageEngine.
