The GNSS & Positioning Engineer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and validation of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and positioning functions within an Android Automotive environment. This role requires a deep understanding of GNSS technologies, Android Automotive frameworks, and automotive validation processes, with a focus on Google compliance and xTS certification.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the GNSS Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) within an Android Automotive solution.
- Create and maintain abstraction layers between different electrical architectures to support multiple projects.
- Ensure the solution complies with Google’s Android Automotive requirements and proactively track upcoming changes.
- Integrate and maintain various Dead Reckoning (DR) module solutions for different projects.
- Lead and/or participate in in-car testing of positioning functions, analyze results, and implement appropriate fixes.
- Develop and maintain the overall system architecture, considering evolving electrical architectures.
- Analyze reported bugs, identify root causes, and implement effective countermeasures.
- Ensure all implementations align with Google Automotive requirements and successfully pass xTS certification testing.
