· The principle task is to supervise MES team. Ensure system runs smoothly and timely delivery of assigned tasks.
· Taking part and pro-actively contributing to a team of multiple MES experts on production & IT level, to successfully implement a globally harmonized MES solution, aiming for high user acceptance.
· Motivate production teams for the proposed MES solution within configurable standard scope, allowing individual customizations only if unavoidable. Make sure that the users understand and appreciate the given solution, under consideration of all backgrounds and given constraints.
· Conduct trainings to user teams, assist individual plants to build and organize their own super user / key user teams within the globally harmonized MES solution, ultimately leading an internal global MES Support Force to ensure 24/7 availability and reliability.
· Manage SQL data, maintain and develop BI tools to adapt with Sonion high structure level of requirements.
· Implement internal customization when needed.
· Plan the work for subordinate employees.
· Monitor available resources and workload load.
· Supervise the documentation flow to comply with SBS standard system.
· Intervene if the system occurs/ failures, propose backup solution(s)/ plan(s).
· Define the potential problems and risks which may occur during operation system. E.g. review the existing settings/ configurations and customizations, identify potential failures or hardware parts of MES equipment.
· React in case of problems (both technical and organizational), proactively searching for external help if needed (e.g. contact provider(s) – software/ hardware, external companies)
· Contact software provider to set up/agree on priorities and technical solutions.
· Support MES subordinators to find the improvement system idea/ solve the issues.
· Asses the risk of current and new development products on software – technical, cost and timing.
· Control cost of annual fee/ maintenance fee of system, consultant to direct managers on the system challenging.
· Provide/ monitor performance and communication of system based on development knowledges between MES (Hydra) and ERP (Dynamic).
· Providing leadership to MES help desk staff in Vietnam:
· Set goals for performance and deadlines according to company’s plans and policies.
· Assign tasks to colleagues where appropriate.
· Monitor colleagues’ productivity and provide constructive feedback when needed.
· Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
· Prepare and submit performance records.
