Data Engineer (Database)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Power BI to design, build, and maintain a robust Visual Management System (VMS) from scratch. The ideal candidate will ensure the system is accurate, logical, visually appealing, and maintains a high level of security to protect sensitive data. The primary data source for the VMS will be the Epicor ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

System Development:

- Design and develop the VMS using Power BI, ensuring it meets the organization's requirements.

- Integrate data from the Epicor ERP system into the Power BI environment.

- Develop data models and create interactive dashboards and reports.

- Implement robust security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.

System Maintenance:

- Regularly update and maintain the VMS to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise within the system.

- Perform routine checks and updates to ensure the system is functioning optimally.

- Continuously monitor and enhance security protocols to protect against data breaches and unauthorized access.

Data Management:

- Ensure the logical structuring of data for ease of access and analysis.

- Implement data validation and cleaning processes.

- Maintain documentation of data sources, models, processes, and security measures.

Quality Assurance:

- Validate the accuracy of data and reports generated from the VMS.

- Conduct regular audits to ensure the system's logical consistency, reliability, and security.

- College degree or higher, major (Computer Science, IT, Data Science,...)

- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Epicor ERP,...

- Know English
